IMBV b.v.
We are pleased to announce that IHI Marine b.v., will implement the change of company name under the new name, IMBV b.v., effective May 1st, 2013.
Our reborn is realized by the strategic merger that the nationally-scaled two major shipyards in Japan, IHI Marine United Inc., our parent company, and Universal Shipbuilding Corp. are to consolidate into Japan Marine United Corporation – “JMU”.

Opening of IHI Marine Istanbul Branch Office
IHIMU (known as IHI Marine United Inc) and IHI Marine B.V. are proud to announce opening of IHI Marine BV Istanbul Branch Office in May 10th, 2011.

By opening this office is our strategy to further enhance its activity to render customers a value-added business and technical services in Turkey.

IHI Marine BV (IMBV)
IMBV was estabished in 1974 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands as an overseas subsidiary company of IHI Marine United, to serve the international shipping industry with spare parts, technical support, shipsrepair and drydocking arrangement. 

 

IHI Marine United (IHIMU) operates shipyards in Aioi, Kure and Yokohama for shipsrepair, conversions and newbuilding of commercial and navy ships. IHI has delivered a wide range of vessels for clients worldwide, such as container carriers, chemical tankers, VLCC and many other types.

Ishikawajima Harima Heavy Industry (IHI)'s long lasting history starts in 1853 when the Tokugawa shogunate established a shipyard at a Japanese town called Ishikawajima. Through the years IHI has developed as a leading shipbuilding company with highlights such as building the world's first VLCC.
